PUBLIC NOTICE

INTERIM JUSTICE COURT JUDGE POSITION

The Board of Supervisors of Warren County, Mississippi, is accepting resume for the position of Interim Justice Court Judge for Central District pursuant to Mississippi Constitution Article 6 Section 171 and Mississippi Code Annotated Section 9-11-3, the qualifications for the office of Justice Court Judge in the State of Mississippi are as follows:
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be a qualified elector of the county
• Must have been a resident of the county for at least two (2) years prior to election
• Must possess a high school diploma or GED
Additional Requirements:
•Must complete mandatory judicial training
• Must successfully pass a competency examination before exercising judicial duties
Resumes, including a letter of interest and qualifications, must be submitted to Chancery Clerks Office/Beverly Johnson, 1009 Cherry Street, Vicksburg, MS, no later than 5:00 pm on April 24, 2026.
This position will be filled on an interim basis until the vacancy is filled as provided by law.
This notice is published in accordance with Mississippi Code Annotated § 13-3-31.
